Cash runway and free cash flow calculator
How many months your cash lasts at the current burn, and how much cash operations really generate. It opens on a worked example — change any number. Nothing you enter is saved.
Runway
8 months
- Free cash flow
- $55,000
The formula
- Runway (months) = current cash balance ÷ monthly net burn
- Free cash flow = operating cash flow − capital expenditures
How to read it
Runway assumes burn stays constant; recalculate when spending or revenue changes. Profit and cash differ, so a profitable business can still run short of cash.
